left: A finely detailed carved wooden pipe tamper in the form of a hound retrieving a hare. Good patination. Height 3 1/2 inches. Date circa 1820.


right: an elegant and unusually large wooden shoe snuff holder with sliding lid. Nicely decorated all over with brass pins and a pewter (vacant) panel on the lid. In immaculate condition, circa 1860.

left: an unusual 19th century tortoiseshell snuff box with inset sulphide. Diameter 2 inches (5cm). There is some damage to the inner tortoiseshell rim.
